PACKAGING: Our biggest reservation in producing any retail packs has always been the packaging. Ideally we would prefer not to use any packaging but in a retail setting this would be impractical. The A4 card packs are normally sold from shelf units so are just packed in a plain bio-film bag but the craft lines were needed to be presented professionally in clear bags (to protect from dirt) wall hanging with euro slots. Shelf space and cost ruled out header cards and unfortunately bio-film cannot be euro slotted. We have therefore setted on minimal packaging using a euro slotted polyprop bag which combined with recycled inserts gives a compromise between suitability for purpose and environmental credentials. Hopefully though Bio-film will be made in the future in a grade suitable for euro slotting.
