Delivery to the EU
We wanted to let you know about a change affecting our exports. Unfortunately, Northern Ireland is impacted by these new rules despite being part of the UK. We’re so sorry, but there’s nothing we can do to avoid this right now.
Starting 13th December 2024, new EU product safety rules (GPSR) will come into effect, temporarily preventing us from shipping to the EU and Northern Ireland under the current regulations.
The new GPSR rules require extensive safety checks, compliance documentation, new product labelling, and an EU-based representative to store compliance records. Non-compliance risks severe consequences, from customs delays to fines per item or even prison time. It’s a costly and complex process, especially for small businesses like ours.
As a result, we will be temporarily suspending sales to the EU and Northern Ireland from 10th December. If you need to place an order before the suspension, we encourage you to do so as soon as possible.
We’re really sorry for any inconvenience this causes and we sincerely appreciate your understanding and support during this time. Believe us- we share your frustration. We’ll keep you updated as we work through the details.

Now that the UK is no longer part of the EU, deliveries to the EU are subject to the following changes:
Orders under £150
We now have an Etsy shop for orders under the value of £150. This uses Etsy's IOSS number. We are currently limited to a maximum of 2kg using Royal Mail tracked international.

Orders over £150
Delivering to a commercial address - These must have an EORI number and a VAT number if the business has one.
The EORI number can be inputted at checkout like the screenshot below -
Please email us your VAT number as we currently don't have a field added on the checkout, we are working on this.
Delivering to a residential address - No VAT or EORI number needed. We will contact you before shipping to double check you don't have an EORI.
Delivery is now subject to International trade contracts and incoterms - Incoterms (DPU) Delivered at Place Unloaded.
Carriage charges (shown below) cover delivery costs and UK customs paperwork. It does not include any import tariffs, fees, import taxes (inc. local VAT charges).
VAT at 20% is included in all the products on the eco-craft website, but as VAT is no longer charged on orders for delivery to the EU it will be deducted from your order at checkout. Any local VAT charges due at destination will be collected by the courier for payment in the destination country.
Delivery times will be much longer than before Brexit and we would suggest that you should allow for at least 1 week in case of customs delays.
Some countries also have additional import restrictions such as:
Spain: Bans the import of all paper and compostable film products.
France: Requires an EORI number and VAT number for commercial deliveries
